Misfuel risk Moderate

Gasoline and PHEV S60s are common at US stations; diesel-in-gasoline from truck lanes is the main misfuel pattern.

If the engine was not started

Do not start engine or engage READY on PHEV. Drain tank via module access.

If the engine was started

Inspect HP fuel pump and injectors on turbo gasoline; PHEV may need additional HV inspection if fuel vapor entered battery area — follow VIDA.

Access procedure

  1. Relieve pressure per VIDA; disconnect 12 V negative
  2. On Recharge, perform HV disable before interior work
  3. Remove rear seat and floor access panel
  4. Disconnect pump harness and quick-connect fuel lines
  5. Remove lock ring; lift module and drain tank
  6. Replace O-ring and fuel filter if required
  7. Reinstall, prime turbo high-pressure system per VIDA, leak-check
